MISSION STATEMENT:
We believe that every child has the right to be fit and healthy. Fitness And Nutrition Club for Kids is dedicated to improving kids’ quality of life through proper fitness and nutrition. Our goal is to foster positive attitudes about being active and eating healthy. We believe a fun fitness environment will motivate kids to form life-long habits. By actively leading and encouraging children, along with their families, we’ll begin a journey towards a healthier and more active future.
WHO WE ARE:
Gina Fill is a Certified Children’s Fitness Specialist and Group Fitness Specialist. Her background is in education, and she is currently an elementary teacher with 18 years experience. She received her BA from Capital University, and her MA from The Ohio State University. Gina is a Nationally Certified Teacher, a Master Teacher in Ohio, and has completed several marathons. Throughout the years, she has seen a growing trend of children becoming more unfit and unhealthy. This is in spite of all the research indicating that healthy food and exercise are necessary for everyone, especially children.
She, along with her partners, decided to do something about this epidemic by creating Fitness And Nutrition Club for Kids. This program offers exercise and nutrition knowledge to children and their parents. They target all children ages six to thirteen, and meet for sessions involving age appropriate exercise, and healthy eating habits.
Marcy Ward is also a Certified Children’s Fitness Specialist and Group Fitness Specialist. She has twelve years of experience in business management, sales, training facilitation and marketing. Her background includes work in early childhood and adult education, teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and Spanish. Marcy spent two years in the Dominican Republic teaching and training local educators to facilitate community programs with a primary emphasis in early childhood nutrition and general health. She received her BA from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and is a founding member of Fitness And Nutrition Club for Kids.
